Dr. Jeff Tarrant discusses some of his key findings from EEG analyses of Laura Lynne Jackson brain during both psychic and mediumship readings.

These results suggest that the Roxiva light can be an effective tool for inducing specific states of consciousness, including hypnosis and deep state meditation. Based on the brainwave patterns observed, it seems that the Roxiva lamp may be a potentially useful tool for opening the mind to psi-related states of consciousness. These effects are likely to be increased if the light is used in conjunction with specific intention setting, meditative techniques, or guidance.
Frequently, when testing a medium or channel, this part of the brain would start showing unusual activity that would sometimes look like seizures or dramatic increases in slow brain waves (theta or delta). Clearly, there is something important about this area.
Nearly 10 years ago, I conducted an experimental observation of one such form of unusual experience-a woman who demonstrated channeling abilities. She could spontaneously speak two different South American tribal languages although she had no idea what she was saying, had never studied a language besides English, and had never been out of the United States. She eventually found an anthropologist that was able to translate what she was saying, providing a significant third-party corroboration of her abilities. I was left with more questions than answers. How could this be possible? What does it mean? And what are the implications regarding consciousness?

My primary Qigong teacher has been Master Ken Cohen. He has more than 45 years experience in a variety of healing arts and recently allowed me to measure his brainwave activity during two different healing practices and the results were very interesting.
For the past 2 1/2 years I have been mapping the brains of Mediums and psychics while they engage in their skill. During these experiments I have seen some incredibly accurate readings… These Mediums consistently show unusual brainwave activity when they are engaged in their practice. Many of them show activity that looks like seizure activity, or tremendous increases of slow brain activity in specific regions. Another semi-consistent pattern relates to significant increases in fast activity in the back of the head-the areas of the brain associated with visual processing…
